St Mary's Sunday School

 St Mary's Sunday School

Is a place where young people age 3 to 11 can explore the Christian faith in a safe and fun environment:)  We meet in St Marys, gathering by the stage before each session.

Young Peoples Services

1st Sunday - Family service 10am - where we actively take part in the main service

2nd Sunday - Sunday School 10am

3rd Sunday - Sunday School 10am

4th Sunday - Sunday School 10am

5th Sunday - Sunday School 10am (if there is a 5th sunday in  the month

We follow the Roots Magezine so young people hear the same gospel reading and are able to contribute to the main service:P  All material is aimed at the age groups we are teaching. 3 to 6 and 7+ looking at the readings in a slightly different way with activities to suit the two age groups.

A typical Sunday School Session

  • Welcome - Young people share experiences from their week
  • Gospel Reading of the day
  • Whole group discussion
  • Break into Older group and Younger group for Liturgy based activity and discussions
  • Join Main Service for Communion
  • Stay in service with parents, finish in the main Service and give feed back
  • Biscuits to finish and of course a cup of Juice with a chance to play with friends in the church while parents gossip.
